Cartoon Animal Illustrations for Kids
Budget: $2 – $8 AUD
I’m putting together a children’s book aimed at 6- to 8-year-olds and need bright, engaging cartoon-style illustrations that bring a cast of friendly animal characters to life. The tone is playful and expressive; think big emotions, clear storytelling, and colours that pop on both tablet screens and printed pages.
Here’s what I need:
• Full-page and spot illustrations covering the book’s scenes (exact count to be shared once we lock in).
• Consistent character designs—each animal should stay recognizable from page to page while showing a range of emotions and poses.
• Layered, print-ready files (PSD or AI) plus high-resolution PNGs for digital use.
• A simple colour palette guide so future titles can match the look.
I’ll provide the manuscript, rough page plan, and notes on each scene as soon as we begin. If you have a portfolio featuring cartoon animals and can meet standard picture-book dimensions (8.5"×11" or similar), I’d love to see your work. Turnaround and milestone schedule are flexible; clarity and communication are most important.
When delivering, please ensure:
1. Final images are 300 DPI CMYK for print and 150 DPI RGB for web versions.
2. Layers remain editable, with characters separate from backgrounds.
3. All fonts or external assets, if any, are licensed for commercial use.
