Traditional Residential AutoCAD Plans

Job ID: 40291173

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I have 20–25 residential buildings that all follow a traditional architectural style and I need each one converted into precise AutoCAD files. The scope is limited to detailed floor plans only, but they must clearly show all walls, accurate room dimensions, and every door and window location. No interior elevations, sections, or furniture layouts are required beyond what is necessary to illustrate openings.

Here is what I will hand over:
• Hand-sketched layouts, PDFs, or scanned drawings for each building
• Key dimensions or a reference scale for every floor
• A naming convention and layer standard I already use on other projects

What I expect back for every building:
• One clean, fully layered DWG (AutoCAD 2018-compatible or earlier)
• A plotted PDF set in A3 or A2 that matches the DWG exactly
• Door and window schedules embedded on a separate layout tab (simple table with count, size, and type)
• All lineweights, hatches, and text styles consistent across the entire batch so I can combine drawings later without extra cleanup

Acceptance criteria
1. All exterior and interior walls must close perfectly—no stray endpoints or gaps.
2. Dimensions must add up; a quick DI command check anywhere on the file should match the written value.
3. Every door and window block must be on the correct layer, oriented properly, and swing the right way.
4. Files open without proxy errors or missing Xrefs.

Turnaround: I would like to review the first three buildings within a week of project start so we can confirm standards before you proceed with the rest. Please include a brief note on your experience with traditional residential drafting and how you manage consistency when working on a large batch of drawings.
