2D Steel Flatbed Tray Drawings

Job ID: 40308922

Budget: $750 – $1,500 AUD

I need a complete set of 2-D fabrication drawings for a custom steel flatbed tray. The finished plans must show every plate, profile, bracket and weld point clearly enough for a fabricator to cut, fold and assemble without guesswork. The tray will be built from mild steel and must incorporate tie-down points as an integral part of the frame; no other special features are required at this stage, but I’m open to subtle improvements that don’t add unnecessary weight or complexity.

You’ll be working from the basic overall dimensions I supply once the project starts, so the layout should reflect the exact chassis rail spacing, wheel-arch clearance and lighting positions of the host vehicle. Drawings should be produced in a mainstream CAD package—AutoCAD, SolidWorks or Inventor are all fine—so I can supply the files directly to the laser-cutting shop.

Deliverables
• Fully dimensioned 2-D fabrication drawings (PDF)
• Editable CAD files (DWG or DXF)
• Simple cutting list/BOM showing material thicknesses and quantities

Acceptance
I’ll consider the job complete when the drawings open cleanly in CAD, show consistent dimensions, include all tie-down details, and are ready for fabrication without further detailing. Feel free to ask any questions you need to nail the fit first time.
