SolidWorks & AutoCAD Part Design - 24/04/2026 01:37 EDT

I have a single component that needs to move from concept to a production-ready state and I’m looking for someone who can work comfortably in both SolidWorks and AutoCAD. You will start from my hand sketches and dimensional notes, model the part accurately in SolidWorks, and prepare a clean manufacturing drawing in AutoCAD.

Because the part will go straight to the shop floor, every feature must comply with current ISO standards for drafting, geometric tolerancing, and annotation. Functional fits, surface finishes, and material call-outs should be embedded in the drawing so the machinist has everything in one place.

What I’ll hand over:
• Clear sketches with key dimensions and functional requirements
• Material specifications and any critical tolerances

What I expect back:
• A fully constrained SolidWorks 3D model (SLDPRT or SLDASM if you create reference bodies)
• An ISO-compliant 2D drawing in DWG format, ready for manufacturing
• A STEP file for compatibility with other CAM software

I’ll approve the work once the model rebuilds without errors, dimensions match my notes, and the drawing passes a quick ISO checklist for views, symbols, and tolerances. If you’re confident with precision part design and can turn this around promptly, let’s get started.
