Sheet Metal Drawing & BOM

Job ID: 40307061

Budget: $250 – $750 AUD

A bunded tray with an integrated oil-hose rack is going into production and I need a complete set of fabrication documents for it. The job is entirely sheet-metal based, and at the moment I only have concept sketches and key functional dimensions. No official specifications exist yet, so part of your task will be to establish practical design standards—material grade, thickness, bend radii, weld symbols, surface treatment and any relevant tolerances—so the workshop can cut, bend and assemble without further clarification.

SolidWorks, Inventor or a similar sheet-metal capable CAD package is fine as long as the flat-patterns export cleanly to DXF and the drawing views are clearly annotated. Please keep your model fully parametric so minor tweaks can be made later if necessary.

Deliverables
• Fully detailed 2D fabrication drawing set (PDF + source CAD)
• Flat-pattern files (DXF) ready for CNC laser or water-jet
• Structured bill of materials listing item numbers, descriptions, material spec, quantity and weight
• Short design notes that justify chosen gauges, weld sizes and finishes

Completion is accepted once the drawings pass a quick manufacturability check with my fabricator—everything must unfold, bend and weld exactly as shown without guess-work.
