Reverse-Engineer Mechanical Part Drawings
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
I’m bringing a new mechanical product to market and have an existing assembly that I need to study, document, and improve. Your task is to reverse-engineer the assembly, break it down into its individual parts, and generate fully detailed part drawings.
Here is the workflow I’m envisioning:
1. Receive my 3D model (STEP/SolidWorks) or physical measurements of the assembly.
2. Analyse each component, capturing critical dimensions, tolerances, materials, and manufacturing features.
3. Convert every 3D part into clear, production-ready 2D drawings, complete with views, sections, GD&T where necessary, and a concise BOM.
Deliverables must include:
• Native CAD files (SolidWorks preferred) and neutral formats (STEP, IGES).
• 2D PDF drawings for each part and the overall assembly.
• A single compiled BOM with part numbers, material specs, and quantities.
I’ll be available for quick clarifications and iterative reviews, and I expect the final package to be accurate enough for machining and quality inspection straight out of the gate. If you routinely use tools like SolidWorks, Inventor, or Creo and have a track record of mechanical reverse-engineering work, I’d like to hear how you would approach this and how long you’ll need.
