Residential Deck Steel Workshop Drawings
Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
I’m building a small-to-medium residential deck in galvanized steel and need workshop drawings that my fabricator can take straight to the shop floor. I’m after an intermediate level of detail:
Read the attached structural drawing and note the red coloured mark ups are to be included in the detail.
The deck pieces will be hot-dip galvanised after cutting and delivered on site.
The hand sketches of the pieces are done by a builder, not a structural engineer. Please do not take them as final drawings, check that they match the overall design.
FB-1's to be done first, the holes must line up with the transverse members and so when fabricated, the whole thing can be put together without drilling any holes.
I am sharing a copy of the price list for the elements that you can use as a check list to ensure you have all the pieces drawn up.
Note that they have not listed the CHS as there are no dimensions shown on drawings. We would like drawings for the CHS and the base plate too. We will later nominate a length and then have the supplier price those up for us.
