Reorganize DWG Layers by Phase

Job ID: 40036532

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I have an AutoCAD DWG whose layers have multiplied without any real logic. What I need now is simple but critical: reorganise every layer strictly by project phase, keeping only two categories—Design and Construction. No “as-built” set is required.

You’ll dig through the current file, move objects onto the correct phase-based layers, rename or create layers where necessary, and clear out anything redundant so the drawing opens lean and easy to read. Standard colour, linetype and plot settings should stay consistent within each phase so I can freeze, lock or plot work in progress at a click.

Deliverables
• The cleaned DWG with all objects sitting on correctly named Design and Construction layers
• A short layer index (PDF or TXT) showing final layer names and any colour / linetype codes you assigned

Once I can toggle visibility between Design and Construction without stray elements appearing, we’re done. If you’re comfortable auditing and tidying DWGs, this should be a straightforward task.
