Remote Architectural CAD Technician Required
Budget: £20 – £250 GBP
Title: Architectural CAD Technician (Planning & Building Control) – Remote
Hours: Project-based
Rate: £8–£20/hour (or £80–£250 per drawing pack depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities
Convert your hand sketches / markups into clean, accurate AutoCAD drawings.
Produce full existing and proposed drawings:
Floor plans
Elevations
Cross-sections
Roof plans
Site plans / block plans
Create detailed drawings: insulation build-ups, junction details, openings, roof details, drainage layouts, etc.
Prepare drawings aligned with UK Building Regulations 2010 + Amendments (Part A, B, L, M, etc.).
Prepare planning drawings ready for local authority submission.
Apply mark-ups accurately and quickly.
Coordinate with structural engineers when needed.
Required Skills
Excellent AutoCAD skills (2D essential).
Strong understanding of UK Planning Requirements.
Strong understanding of Building Control standards.
Ability to follow Chiaora templates and drawing standards.
Minimum 3 years' experience drafting real projects.
