Redesign Ferny's Eclectic, Irregularly Shaped Bedroom
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Hi! My name’s Ferny. I’m redesigning my bedroom, and I need help creating a functional layout and design that fits both my style and the irregular shape of my room.
I have photos, a video walkthrough, and a Magicplan floor plan ready to share.
ROOM DETAILS
Size: 25 m²)
Ceiling height: ~9 ft
Features:
closet outside room, bathroom inside
1 window on wall A (gives best light, to the left of the TV)
Irregular room shape
Current flooring: carpet (to be replaced)
Wallpaper accent wall
Chandelier (will keep)
TV mounted near the window
I’ll remove a large white closet to open the long wall (Wall B).
WHAT I NEED
Layout Design
A new floor-plan / furniture layout for a single bedroom with three zones:
Sleeping area (new tall metal bed)
Vanity / self-care zone (preferably on the long bright wall)
Office / desk area
Consider lighting, natural flow, and door placements.
Optionally suggest how to use dividers or furniture to separate zones (without closing the space).
Spatial & Functional Planning
Help me figure out how to make the most of the height of the room (vertical storage, décor, curtains, shelving).
Optimize placement so I can visually declutter (ADHD-friendly layout).
Design Guidance
Suggestions for:
Wall décor or color balance (consider chandelier & wallpaper)
Curtains, lighting layers, and simple affordable décor
A cohesive “eclectic urban glam” style that mixes metal, wood, and texture without feeling cluttered.
Deliverables
1 Top-down 2D floor-plan sketch (PDF or JPG)
1 Visual or moodboard (optional 3D render if possible)
Short explanation of why the layout works (energy flow, feng shui, practicality)
Budget-friendly product or material suggestions (if possible)
HOW WE’LL WORK
I’ll send:
Video walkthrough of the room
Photos of all walls and corners
Magicplan layout (2D plan with dimensions)
My Pinterest inspiration board
You’ll send:
At least 2 layout options (if possible)
A summary of how each uses the space
Visuals or recommendations for wall/ceiling height and divider usage
Open to beginner designers, freelancers, or students
Remote only (video or chat communication fine)
If this sounds like a good fit, please share 1-2 examples of your work or mockups you’ve done for small bedroom layouts, and your timeline. I’m ready to start soon.
