Point-Cloud BIM & CAD Production

I run a UK-based reality-capture firm kannaspatial.co.uk and need a dependable partner to turn our registered E57 point clouds into both 3D BIM and 2D CAD outputs. Every project comes with clearly defined scopes and deadlines; your first assignment will be a small pilot to confirm workflow compatibility before we commit to regular hand-offs.
Scope of each project
• 3D: Build a Revit model at LOD 300, following either our in-house template or the client’s native one.
• 2D: Extract coordinated plans, elevations and sections that read cleanly in AutoCAD.
• Source: Fully registered point cloud (E57) plus any supplementary imagery we captured on site.
What I need from you in your proposal
1. A brief note on your experience with point-cloud-based Revit or CAD production, plus one or two sample files or screenshots.
2. How you prefer to price the work—per square metre, per drawing, or fixed fee—with an outline of typical turnaround times.
3. Your quality-control process, including how you handle revisions.
4. The Revit version you normally use and confirmation that you are comfortable working in a supplied template.
Acceptance criteria for each delivery
• Revit model aligns precisely to the point cloud with tolerances agreed in advance.
• LOD 300 elements are modelled and classified correctly for all architectural, structural and MEP components within scope.
• 2D drawings are plotted to our standard layers, line weights and annotation styles, ready for immediate issue.
• A short clash/coordination report and a summary of any unresolved cloud gaps.
If the pilot run is successful, you can expect a steady flow of scan-to-BIM and scan-to-CAD commissions of varied size and complexity. I look forward to seeing how you can add value to our capture-to-deliverable pipeline.
