Plastic Guard for Packing Dispenser
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I need a straightforward design for a plastic guard that fits standard packing-tape dispensers. The goal is to create a simple safety piece that shields fingers from the blade while letting the tape feed smoothly.
Scope
• Produce a basic 2D drawing or quick CAD file with exact dimensions, mounting points, and recommended wall thickness.
• Specify a readily moldable plastic—polycarbonate, ABS, PVC or whatever you feel is the best balance of strength and cost.
• Make sure the shape can be injection-moulded without complex undercuts so low-cost tooling stays feasible.
Deliverables
1. Native CAD file (STEP or similar) plus a PDF/PNG overview.
2. Short note on material choice and any stress points to watch during production.
I’ll test-fit the guard on common packing dispensers once your draft arrives, then reply with any tweaks before we wrap up.
