Penitentiary Steel Door Workshop Plans

Job ID: 40124484

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I need complete workshop plans for eight distinct security-door models that will be installed in a government penitentiary. The architectural drawings we received are too general, so I’m looking for concise 2D shop drawings that a fabrication crew can pick up and build from without guesswork.

What the drawings must show
• Door elevations, sections, and enlarged details for every type
• Exact material list, like material size, thickness and hardware prep need to be clear
• Weld mapping: a practical mix of spot and continuous welds, with lengths, spacings, and required throat sizes called out on the sheets
• All ancillary steel items (locks) dimensioned and tagged
• A consolidated bill of materials referencing sheet and item numbers for easy procurement
• General notes that cite the relevant fabrication standards you normally follow (AWS, ASTM, etc.) so the reviewer has no doubts

I will submit these drawings to the customer for approval before fabrication starts, so accuracy and clarity are critical. If you have prior experience detailing steel doors, windows, or similar security products, please mention it and share a sample — speed and familiarity with workshop documentation will weigh heavily in my decision.
