PDF Drawing to SolidWorks and DXF
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR
I have a 2D drawing in PDF format that must be rebuilt accurately inside SolidWorks, then exported as a clean DXF ready for laser cutting steel parts on our production line. Every dimension and measurement printed on the original PDF has to match the SolidWorks model exactly so that the laser programme runs without extra tweaking on the shop floor.
Here is how I see the job:
• Re-create the geometry in SolidWorks from the supplied PDF, matching line types, radii and hole positions precisely.
• Keep the file fully parametric so we can adjust material thickness later if needed.
• Export a flattened DXF (1:1 scale, millimetres) that nests cleanly and opens with no stray splines or broken contours. Closed profiles are essential for the laser.
Acceptance check on delivery:
• I will overlay your DXF on the original PDF inside DraftSight; any deviation beyond ±0.1 mm will be rejected.
• All cut lines must be on a single layer named CUT, no extra layers.
• Overall file size should remain compact—no embedded images or unnecessary blocks.
Please let me know your estimated turnaround time and which SolidWorks version you plan to use so I can stay compatible with our 2022 seats. I’m ready to award as soon as I see that you’re comfortable holding tight tolerances for manufacturing parts.
