Ongoing STEP/CAD File Refresh and Minor Modification

This outlines the scope of work for a long-term, rolling freelance engagement focused on the precise modification and aesthetic refresh of existing STEP, CAD, or DWG files. The core engineering design is complete; the required work involves careful detail-oriented adjustments to ensure files are accurate, well-presented, and ready for publication in both English and French.
1. Goal
To maintain a library of technical files by ensuring their accuracy, professional presentation, and dual-language readiness through regular, small-scale modifications and layout adjustments throughout the year.
2. Scope of Work (Minor Modifications and Layout Refresh)
The freelancer will be responsible for precise, detail-oriented work on existing files on an as-needed basis. Tasks will include, but are not limited to:
Aesthetic and Layout Alignment:
Reposition and Realign: Precisely reposition and realign text, callouts, symbols, and other visual elements that have drifted out of grid or lack consistent spacing/symmetry.
Spacing and Sizing: Ensure consistent spacing between elements and perform minor resizing of non-critical components (e.g., text blocks, not the core design structure).
Layout Structure Adjustment: Adjust the underlying layout structure (e.g., text box size, column width) where new text or translations cause overflow or layout breaks.
Content and Language Updates:
Text Correction: Identify and correct minor language mistakes or typographical errors in the original English text.
Dual-Language Implementation: Place provided parallel English and French text/translations precisely into the design files, ensuring they fit within the layout constraints.
3. Tools and Assets
Working Files: All modifications will be performed on provided STEP (.step), AutoCAD (.dwg), or similar CAD design files.
Required Tools: The freelancer must be proficient with software capable of accurately editing and regenerating these file formats (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc., as appropriate for the file type).
Assets Provided: The client will supply the existing source files, necessary fonts, and any relevant style or CAD standards guides upon project commencement. Translations for the French copy will also be provided by the client.
4. Deliverables
For each assigned task, the freelancer will deliver:
A clean, updated source file (STEP, DWG, or native CAD format) incorporating all requested aesthetic, textual, and layout adjustments.
Exported PDF proofs of the updated design for quick review and sign-off.
