Modern Open-Concept Layout Design
Budget: $25 – $50 CAD
I am re-imagining roughly 500–600 sq ft of continuous space that combines a new kitchen with island and a great room. I need a modern look that feels seamless yet clearly supports two core activities: entertainment/relaxation and dining.
There is an existing wall with the existing kitchen and both will be demolished but the new kitchen will be in the same location that it's currently in.
Here is what I’m after:
• A space plan that has a kitchen/island layout (with appliances and seating) and provides suggestions about how the remaining open space can be designed.
It's a Florida house and we're trying to capture a modern coastal feel.
• 2-D layout drawings and at least one 3-D visual (SketchUp, Revit or similar) so I can understand scale before committing to construction.
• A concise specification sheet listing chosen materials, fixtures and key furniture pieces.
I will supply current measurements, photos and any structural constraints as soon as we start. In return, I’d like iterative feedback—one initial concept, a round of revisions, then final drawings ready for my contractor.
