Modern GFRC Furniture Mold Templates
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
I need a complete mold-design template so I can cast a modern glass-fiber-reinforced-concrete (GFRC) sun-lounger manufactured out of 16mm particle board with a 3mm flexible ply to enable smooth curves when assembled The end result should let me cut or mill the mold parts with confidence and then assemble them quickly for reliable repeat pours.
Here is what I require from you:
• 3D CAD files that define every mold surface in Solidworks and PDF
• 2D cut sheets laid out for CNC or manual routing, exported as DXF/DWG and PDF.
• A brief build note pack that calls out materials, recommended release angles, reinforcing layout, and any hardware or fasteners to keep the forms square under pour pressure.
At this stage i only require the one design enabling me to cut from patterns (or cnc) the full mould and assemble it for a prototype
The style must read as modern—clean lines, no ornate curves, a sleek, low-profile silhouette that feels at home beside contemporary pool decks. Overall dimensions to follow outdoor sun-lounger footprint,
Overall length of concrete: 2050mm
Square measurement from end to end: 1800mm
Backrest height: 450mm
Width: 600mm
Thickness maximum: 30mm tapering back to 20mm for the backrest
Mould will be poured upside down and require a top mould (backing plate) to ensure GRFC mix maintains its form once poured
Experience with GFRC or similar composite concrete work is essential so that the template accounts for wall thickness, vibration, and demolding forces. If you have examples of past molds (especially for furniture), please reference them in your bid and let me know which software you intend to model in.
whilst i have given a maximum thickness ideally if this can be thinner and still maintain structural integrity
I will review files by opening them as a PDF and by dry-assembling the 2D prints onto plywood before approving final payment, so please allow for one round of adjustments after first delivery.
Please quote lead time to finalise design and supply
