Machinery Detail Drawing Specialist
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
We regularly generate 2D assembly prints and 3D models and now need a reliable mechanical engineer who can turn those assembly-level files into shop-ready detail drawings. You may work in AutoCad or SolidWorks—whichever you are faster and more accurate with—so long as the final output is clean, fully dimensioned, and fabrication-ready.
Here is how our collaboration will flow. I will send a representative package that includes either the 3D model or 2D multi-view general arrangements within 2 weeks. From that, you will create the individual part drawings, select appropriate hardware, and prepare an accurate, well-formatted bill of materials as per our sample. Projects can be destined for North America or overseas, so fluency with both U.S. and metric steel sections, plate gauges, and fastener call-outs is essential.
If you have designed or detailed web-handling machinery before—unwind/rewind stands, tension control frames, idler rolls, etc.—that experience will be a real plus, but it is not a strict requirement.
Deliverables for each job:
• A complete set of fabrication drawings (PDF + native CAD) for every unique part and sub-assembly
• Consolidated BOM, referenced to the drawing numbers and call-outs
• Any custom hardware or purchased item datasheets included as annex pages
We value accuracy, sensible tolerancing, and adherence to standard drafting practices. Send over a brief note on your relevant experience and a couple of sample sheets, and we can start with a small trial package right away. Detail drawings are expected to be completed within 2-4 weeks after receiving the assembly drawings
