Luxury Leather Bag Tech Packs
Budget: £20 – £250 GBP
I am preparing the first prototypes for my new British luxury handbag label, Wilde Hide, and need your help turning my concept drawings into factory-ready documentation. The flagship style, The Green Frog, is a structured circular bag built from premium automotive leathers and layered character panels that echo British woodland wildlife.
Project Requirements: Deliverables: Production-ready 2D flat patterns (PDF/DXF format) with precise seam allowances, alignment markers, and a comprehensive Technical Specification Pack (Tech Pack).Material Specification: The bags will be constructed using premium 1.2mm structured automotive leather. The designer must be experienced in nesting patterns efficiently on half-hides of approximately 2 square meters, understanding how this weight of leather skives, bends, and layers over structured frames.
Dimensions & Structure: Flagship Tier: A perfect circle with a 12{-inch diameter and a depth (gusset) of 3.5 to 4 inches. Features a top carry handle and adjustable backpack/shoulder straps. Character Detailing: The front panel requires a beautifully integrated, symmetrical, and subtly contoured character face (starting with the Frog) made from layered leather panels.
Future Scope: The right freelancer will be retained to blueprint the rest of the collection, which includes a 12 inch flagship tier (Badger, Fox, Hare, Owl, Hedgehog) and a smaller, ultra-cute 8 inch companion tier (Dormouse, Weasel, Squirrel) designed to maximise hide offcuts.
Ideal Candidate: Experience in structured luxury leather goods, bespoke footwear design, or automotive upholstery pattern making. Must be able to translate a visual concept into exact, millimetre perfect engineering blueprints. Please provide a portfolio of relevant structured leather work.
