Laser-Cut Sculpture DXF Preparation

Budget: $250 – $750 AUD

I have a set of hand-drawn concept sketches for a sheet-metal sculpture that will stand roughly one metre high and be cut from 1.6 mm aluminium. What I need now is a production-ready digital package that a laser-cutting shop can drop straight onto the bed with no further cleanup.

Your task
• Translate the sketches into clean 2 D DXF profiles, taking sheet thickness into account and breaking the form into practical parts where necessary.
• Work in any mainstream CAD platform you prefer—AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Fusion 360 or similar—so long as the exported DXF is error-free.
• Add basic assembly / fit-up information such as alignment tabs, slots or other locating features so fabrication on the shop floor is straightforward.
• Include a concise PDF drawing that shows key overall dimensions and part IDs.
• If you can, attach a simple 3 D view or lightweight CAD model so I can visualise how the flat parts come together before we press go on the cutter.

Deliverables
1. DXF files, one per part, ready for laser cutting
2. PDF with overall dimensions and part callouts
3. Optional: basic 3 D view or CAD file (STEP or native)

Success will be measured by whether the files import into the laser software cleanly, the parts nest correctly at 1.6 mm, and the assembly details make sense to a fabricator who has not seen the sketches.
