Laser-Cut DXF from DWG

Job ID: 39911140

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I have an architectural drawing of a building in a .dwg file. I need an experienced CAD designer to convert this drawing into a set of 2D .dxf files that are ready for laser cutting.

The goal is to create a physical, scaled model from the drawings.

Scope of Work:

Review: Look at the provided .dwg file.

Scale: Scale the entire design down to [IMPORTANT: Enter your desired scale here, e.g., 1:50 or 1:100].

Deconstruct: Break down the 3D building into 2D flat parts (walls, floors, roof sections, window cutouts, etc.) that can be assembled after cutting.

Add Joints: Modify the parts to include interlocking joints (like tabs, slots, or finger joints) so the model can be glued together easily.

Material Thickness: Adjust all joints and slots to account for the material I will be using, which is [IMPORTANT: Enter material and thickness, e.g., 3mm Plywood or 5mm Acrylic].

Clean Up: Remove all unnecessary elements from the drawing (dimensions, text, notes, hatching, furniture blocks). All cut lines must be joined into closed shapes (polylines).

Layout (Nesting): Arrange all the 2D parts efficiently to fit on a laser cutter bed size of [IMPORTANT: Enter your laser cutter's bed size, e.g., 600mm x 400mm]. This will save material and cost.

Deliverables: Provide the final, print-ready .dxf files. If there are many parts, please provide one .dxf file for each sheet of material.

What I will provide:

The original architectural .dwg file.

What I need from you:

Please show me examples from your portfolio where you have designed files for laser-cut models or similar projects.

Let me know your estimated cost and timeline for this project.
