Laminate Wall Cabinet With Folding Beds
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
I’m fitting a 2740 mm-wide, 2600 mm-high, 520 mm-deep wall unit that hides two vertically folding beds. The finish must be laminate and the overall look should stay traditional—clean mouldings, classic pulls, nothing ultra-modern.
Functional needs
• Each bed folds up flush and locks safely.
• Open shelves and a couple of drawers sit around/beneath the beds for linens and small items.
• All parts suit standard laminate board thicknesses and hardware available in Australia.
What I need from you
1. Dimensioned drawings (front, side, top) of the entire cabinet.
2. A basic cutting list, hinge placement, and recommended folding-bed mechanism.
3. A simple 3D or isometric sketch so my carpenter sees how shelves and drawers integrate.
4. One round of tweaks after I review feasibility on site.
A concise, well-annotated PDF set produced in SketchUp, AutoCAD, or similar drafting software is perfect; I don’t need photo-realistic renders.
