Honolulu Window Permit Drawings
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I need a seasoned drafter who can turn my townhome window replacement scope into a permit-ready drawing set that Honolulu DPP will approve without revisions. Your plans must capture the exact dimensions of every window opening, identify the specified materials, and show precise placement of each unit on the façade, all while tying the work back to the Hawaii State Building Code.
AutoCAD-based 2D drawings are mandatory; 3D visuals are not required. The final package has to satisfy both the city reviewer and my AOAO, so clarity and code compliance are critical.
Deliverables
• Floor plan and exterior elevations reflecting the new windows
• Window schedule detailing sizes, operation, materials, and manufacturer data
• Code notes citing the relevant sections of the Hawaii State Building Code
• Detail sheets and any sections needed to demonstrate weather resistance, energy performance, and proper flashing
• A single, well-organized CAD/PDF set ready for immediate permit submission
Do NOT apply if:
• You only do 3D renderings
• You have never created a building permit drawing set
• You cannot provide samples of previous CAD plans
• You are unfamiliar with U.S. building codes
Acceptance will be based on DPP formatting guidelines, consistency across sheets, and technical accuracy sufficient for a permit intake clerk to stamp “complete.” Please be ready to share at least one comparable Honolulu (or other U.S. jurisdiction) permit set you prepared.
