Foster Home/Office Architecture
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I need a comprehensive architectural design for a commercial foster home and office facility. The design must seamlessly integrate private meeting rooms, communal living areas, outdoor recreational spaces, and dedicated foster home facilities.
Key requirements:
Total Facility Size: ~5,382 sq ft
Below is a breakdown of each area with specific square footage needs:
Bedrooms with Bathrooms (x4) – 1,552 sq ft total
Each bedroom will house 4 teenage boys and must include:
• 4 twin-size beds
• 4 dressers
• Attached private bathroom with: 2 stalls, 1 shower, 2 sinks
• Estimated size per unit: 388 sq ft × 4 = 1,552 sq ft
DCS / Care Staff Office – 180 sq ft
• Space for medication storage, cabinets, files, and staff workspace.
Living Room – 600 sq ft
• Central common area with multiple large couches, 2–3 mounted TVs, and space for a pool table or game area.
Laundry Room – 120 sq ft
• Must fit 3 washers and 3 dryers side-by-side, with shelf storage.
Dining Room – 440 sq ft
• Space to seat 16 youth plus staff during mealtimes.
Kitchen Suite – 740 sq ft total
Includes:
• Commercial flat-top stove and oven
• Triple sink
• Office for kitchen manager
• Walk-in fridge
• Walk-in freezer
• Pantry
Admin Offices – 950 sq ft total
• 8 standard offices (100 sq ft each)
• 1 larger executive office (150 sq ft)
Staff Bathrooms – 80 sq ft total
• 1 male and 1 female restroom (toilet + sink)
Maintenance Office – 120 sq ft
• Larger space for tools, storage, and maintenance workspace
Hallways, Walkways, Door Spacing – 600 sq ft
• Includes all internal walkways and door spacing
• Note: Yellow dots on attached layout indicate all door placements — please include them in the design
What I Need From You:
1. A clean, professional 2D floor plan layout based on this breakdown with clearly labeled square footage per room.
2. A full 3D model rendering of the facility:
• Exterior view with parking lot and landscaping
• Fully furnished interior layout (furniture, beds, kitchen equipment, etc.)
3. Accurate furniture staging:
• Beds, couches, desks, kitchen equipment, TVs, etc.
• I want the model to look like the building is done and fully operational
4. Professional, modern design: It’s a youth-centered foster care home — the design should feel like both a home and a high-quality care facility (not institutional).
5. Final calculation of total square footage based on your professional layout adjustments (but estimate is ~5,382 sq ft as listed above)
Please let me know your pricing, process, timeline, and if there’s anything else you need from me. I’m excited to move forward and bring this vision to life with your help!
