2nd Floor Finish and Permit
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I need a floor plan/rendering for the 2nd floor of my home so that I can submit the necessary permit application. The space includes a foyer at the top of the stairs, two bedrooms, and a new bathroom, but most of the walls are pre-existing (some closet spaces and access spaces need to be defined).
Key Tasks:
- Define closet doors/areas
- Provide full floor plan layout for second floor, including all room measurements (some rooms have sloping ceiling areas, including the bathroom).
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Knowledge of electrical systems code requirements (outlets needed, type of circuits required)
- Familiarity with permit applications (e.g. egress windows are required in 2nd floor bedrooms, what other items might apply to our design?)
Some basic measurements for the bedrooms and bathroom are included, but may not yet be fully accurate (e.g. the "bedroom 1" drawing shows two doors on the west wall - there is only one). I do not yet have a layout for the foyer area that links this all together, but plan to get that soon.
