Fiberglass Pool Permit Drawings
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
I need a full set of plans that will satisfy my city’s permitting office for a rectangular fiberglass pool. The pool doesn’t fall neatly into the usual “in-ground/above-ground/infinity” labels, so the drawings must clearly convey its unique installation method along with all required structural, plumbing, electrical and safety details.
Please base the package on standard U.S. residential code requirements (IBC/IRC) while tailoring dimensions, setback notes and barrier specs to the information I provide about my lot. The shell itself is fiberglass, so include manufacturer data sheets and any foundation or backfill recommendations that the inspector will expect to see.
Deliverables I must submit to the city:
• Scaled site plan showing the pool’s position, property lines, easements, utilities and equipment pad
• Dimensioned plan view of the pool, steps and benches
• Cross-sections illustrating excavation depth, backfill layers, footing/bond beam (if needed) and decking interface
• Plumbing and electrical schematics with code-compliant bonding/grounding notes
• Safety barrier, gate and alarm details meeting local requirements
• Title sheet with project information and your professional credentials (engineer/architect stamp if you are licensed in my state)
Once I provide the survey, utility locations and any specific municipal checklists, I’ll need the first draft within a week for my preliminary review, with a final sealed set ready for submission shortly after revisions.
