Experienced Draftsman for Wiring Harness Layouts
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
We are looking for a Draftsman with experience in the wiring harness industry to prepare detailed
drawings, harness layouts, and documentation to support production activities. The candidate should
be proficient in AutoCAD and capable of creating accurate drawings, including as-built drawings from
physical harness assemblies, along with Bill of Materials (BOM) for manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare 2D drawings and layouts of wiring harness assemblies using AutoCAD (latest version – 2026 or equivalent)
• Develop wiring harness drawings, including routing, connector details, and pin configurations
• Create accurate as-built drawings from existing/physical harness samples and components
• Reverse engineer harness assemblies and convert them into detailed technical drawings
• Create and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) for harness assemblies
• Interpret customer drawings, circuit diagrams, and specifications
• Update and revise drawings based on engineering changes and production feedback
• Ensure drawings meet customer standards and quality requirements
• Coordinate with production, quality, and engineering teams
• Maintain document control and version tracking for all drawings
• Support new product development and prototype builds
Required Qualifications:
• Diploma in Engineering (Any Trade)
Required Skills:
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD
• Ability to create drawings from physical samples (as-built / reverse engineering capability)
• Good understanding of wiring harness components (wires, connectors, terminals, sleeves,
etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and harness drawings
• Experience in preparing BOMs for harness assemblies
• Knowledge of crimping, wire cutting, stripping, and assembly processes
• Familiarity with connector pinning and circuit continuity
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Basic computer skills (Excel, reports, documentation)
Preferred / Added Advantages:
• Experience in 3D modelling tools (SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, etc.)
• Exposure to automotive or electronics industry standards
• Experience working with OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers
