We are looking for an experienced freelance CAD designer or stair-detailing specialist to prepare fabrication drawings for a custom stacked stair system.
### Project Scope
The project involves developing detailed CAD drawings for custom stairs that are vertically stacked between multiple floor levels. The stair configuration must coordinate accurately with the architectural layout, floor openings, landings, structural framing, and surrounding walls.
The selected freelancer will work from architectural drawings, field dimensions, sketches, and design references provided by our team.
### Required Deliverables
* Complete 2D CAD fabrication drawings in DWG format
* Stair plans for each level
* Stair elevations and sections
* Tread, riser, landing, stringer, guardrail, and handrail dimensions
* Connection and attachment details
* Material thicknesses and member sizes
* Welding and fabrication details, where applicable
* Coordination of stacked stair geometry and floor openings
* Clearly labeled dimensions, elevations, and fabrication notes
* PDF drawing set for review and final issuance
* Editable CAD source files
### Preferred Qualifications
* Experience preparing stair fabrication or shop drawings
* Strong AutoCAD drafting skills
* Experience with custom metal, steel, wood, or mixed-material stair systems
* Understanding of stair geometry, fabrication tolerances, connections, guards, and handrails
* Familiarity with California residential or building-code requirements
* Ability to identify conflicts and coordinate stair alignment between floors
* Good communication and willingness to revise drawings based on review comments
