Custom Modern Wood Desk Design

I’m planning a made-to-measure desk and need a skilled designer or engineer to translate my ideas into a build-ready plan. The room layout is fixed, so the first step will be to map the available wall length, alcoves, and any obstructions; from there we can finalise dimensions that maximise surface area without crowding the space.

The look I’m after is clean, Modern styling built primarily in Wood. Functionally, the desk must incorporate drawers for everyday items, open shelves for display, and enclosed cabinets for bulkier gear—I’m open to your suggestions on the best mix and placement of each.

What I need from you:
• A well-reasoned layout with exact measurements that fits the room and respects ergonomic guidelines.
• 2D plans and 3D visualisations (SketchUp, Fusion 360, or similar) that show the modern aesthetic and wood grain direction.
• A concise build specification listing hardware, recommended timber species, and finish.
• Optional: exploded views or cut lists that a carpenter can follow without guesswork.
