Convert Floorplan to Framing Plan
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I already have a complete 2-D floorplan in AutoCAD for an existing structure and now need two things from you in the same file set: first, a quick but thoughtful layout adjustment that optimizes space usage inside the Jack and Jill restroom, and second, a full 2-D framing plan for the entire building.
The restroom tweak is the priority. I want to keep the current footprint yet shift walls, door swings, or fixtures so the two users feel as separate as possible—privacy is the key metric of success here. If you see incidental opportunities to reclaim a few extra square feet for storage, that’s welcome, but not at the expense of that privacy goal.
Once the revised layout is locked, translate the whole floor into a framing plan: show dims on walls center to center for framing construction. Please use clear AutoCAD layers, consistent lineweights, and add concise notes so a framing crew can follow without hunting for information.
Deliverables
• Updated floorplan (.dwg + PDF) reflecting the restroom layout change
• Separate, fully annotated 2-D framing plan (.dwg + PDF) on its own layer set
I work exclusively in AutoCAD 2021, so keep the file compatible. Let me know your expected turnaround and any questions about existing dimensions or structural assumptions before you begin.
The structure is existing. There are no interior walls right now. I can field verify any measurements if needed. I really need the framing plan by mid-week. I am open to any and all suggestions as well.
