Civil Quantity Takeoff Web App

Job ID: 40014413

Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR

I want a browser-based application that lets me drag and drop 2D drawings—specifically DWG, DXF or PDF—and have it do the heavy lifting of quantity takeoff for civil work. As soon as a file is uploaded the system should read every layer, automatically recognise rebar, earthwork cut-and-fill zones and concrete areas, and then calculate the relevant areas, lengths and volumes.

Because the takeoff is meant to be semi-automatic, the detected elements must appear on screen so I can click and correct anything before the numbers are finalised. Once I confirm the quantities, the app applies live unit rates pulled either from an external API, scraped schedule of rates or my own rate library. The result should be a clear cost estimate and a bill of quantities that I can download in CSV, Excel and PDF.

Key deliverables
• A responsive web interface for uploading DWG, DXF, and PDF drawings
• Detection engine that flags rebar, earthwork and concrete areas with editable overlays
• Calculation module for areas, lengths, volumes and rebar quantities
• Rate manager that connects to external APIs or reads my saved rate tables
• Export of fully formatted BOQ and cost report in CSV, Excel and PDF

I will consider the project complete once I can upload a sample plan, review and tweak the highlighted elements in-browser, and instantly download an accurate BOQ populated with current rates.
