CNC Program for Custom Parts - 02/01/2026 13:04 EST

Job ID: 40114231

Budget: $25 – $50 USD

I need a precise, production-ready CNC program for several one-off parts I’m machining in-house. The parts are all different shapes and sizes, intended for custom applications, and will be cut from metal, plastic, wood and a few other non-metallic sheets. Because my workshop workflow is built around AutoCAD, I’d like the entire tool-path development to start from a clean DWG, progressing to finalized G-code that runs trouble-free on my mill and router.

I’ll share the existing 2D/3D geometry along with machine specs, tool library, spindle limits and workholding constraints. Your job is to refine the CAD if needed, generate accurate CAM strategies (roughing, finishing, drilling, pocketing, etc.), simulate for collisions, and hand back:

• Updated AutoCAD file with any geometry tweaks
• Post-processed G-code ready to run on my controller
• A brief setup sheet outlining offsets, tooling, speeds and feeds

Program efficiency matters more than cycle-time bragging rights—I’m looking for code that protects cutters, maintains surface finish, and minimizes manual edits on the shop floor. If you prefer developing tool-paths in a package like SolidWorks CAM, Fusion 360 or Mastercam first and then exporting to my AutoCAD environment, that’s fine as long as the final deliverables open perfectly in AutoCAD and execute correctly.

Please tell me how you plan to handle multi-material feeds and speeds, what post you will use, and your typical turnaround.
