CAD Detailing for Sawtooth Brick Panels

Job ID: 39773541

Budget: £250 – £750 GBP

I need a CAD construction detail of sawtooth brick panels for a bricklayer.

Requirements:
- Basic outline and dimensions
- Views: Section and elevation with dimensions
- Must highlight:
- Height and width of each panel
- Spacing between bricks
- Angle of each sawtooth
- Must add a false window in recessed brick next to real one.
- Extent of patterned area to follow elevation drawing or please justify any new pattern design.

Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Proficiency in CAD software
- Experience with brickwork and masonry details
- Attention to detail and accuracy

Specification Note — Vertical Sawtooth Brickwork Strip

Location: North-facing gable end wall (approx. 8,000 mm high).
Extent: One vertical strip, centred, approx. 1,200 mm wide, full height of wall.

Materials

Bricks: Standard clay facing bricks to match main elevation, dimensions 215 × 102.5 × 65 mm.

Mortar: 10 mm joints, colour to match main wall, flush struck (no raked or recessed joints).

Construction

Brickwork bond: Stretcher bond coursing, 75 mm course height including mortar.

Recess formation:

Sawtooth strip formed from half-brick modules

Alternate vertical bays offset/recessed by max 75 mm (half-brick).

Recesses created using half-bricks, rotated/offset as required.

Coursing alignment: Recess coursing to align continuously with surrounding wall coursing.

Joints: All joints to be flush; no projections, drips or ledges that could form footholds.

Performance

Anti-climb requirement: Surface to present no regular horizontal footholds and avoid ledges >15 mm depth. We have realised that our current elevation presents a climbing challenge for kids and is dangerous. We need a vertical pattern with no regular horizontal footholds.

Aesthetic: Sawtooth strip to provide fine-grain light/shadow texture while blending with main elevation brickwork.

I AM NOT A TIMEWASTER. THIS IS A LIVE PROJECT AND YOUR DRAWING WILL BE BUILT AND PHOTOGRAPHED FOR YOUR PORTFOLIO. I attach some rubbish attempts by ChatGPT and images of possible sawtooth patterns.
