I run two story-driven YouTube channels—one centred on chilling horror tales, the other on timeless mythological legends—and I’m looking for a budget-friendly 2D animator who can give these narratives a lifelike feel. The style must stay firmly on the realistic side: believable anatomy, nuanced facial acting, atmospheric lighting and camera moves that build tension or awe as each scene demands.
Every script arrives with a voice track or, when I need help sourcing talent, a request for you to supply it; in either case your animation must be precisely lip-synced and timed to the narration. Episodes typically sit in the short-form range (around the 8- to 10-minute mark), and I’d like to begin with one test video before moving into steady, ongoing production.
What I need from you:
• A reel or sample work that proves you can handle realistic 2D character animation.
• A sense of your workflow and turnaround time for an episode of this length.
• Confirmation that you’re comfortable either syncing to a provided VO track or arranging professional voice-over when asked.
• Your preferred software—Toon Boom, Adobe Animate, TVPaint or any equivalent—so I know how best to share assets.
