Video Editor & Motion Designer
Budget: $2 – $8 USD
We are seeking a versatile Video Editor and Motion Designer to produce high-quality, documentary-style content. In addition to expert-level video editing, this role requires the ability to integrate character animations into our storytelling to help illustrate complex business narratives and human-centric stories.
Key Responsibilities:
Narrative Editing: Assemble long-form videos (10–15 minutes) with a focus on high retention and rhythmic pacing.
Character Animation: Design and animate 2D characters to represent key figures or concepts within the documentary narrative.
Motion Graphics: Create professional animations for financial charts, maps, and text overlays.
Visual Styling: Apply consistent colour grading, texture overlays, and cinematic effects to maintain a premium aesthetic.
Audio Finishing: Execute full sound design, including music bed levelling and foley integration.
Requirements:
Proven experience working within high-volume YouTube automation channels, with a focus on retention-first editing and rapid turnaround cycles.
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and character animation tools (such as Character Animator or Duik).
A portfolio demonstrating experience in both video documentary editing/Long-form videos and character-based motion graphics.
Strong understanding of pacing, visual hierarchy, and the ability to make data-heavy content visually engaging.
