Surreal Horror 2D Animation

Job ID: 39770178

Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR

I’m developing an ongoing dark-horror series and need a digital frame-by-frame animator who truly enjoys pushing unsettling, dream-logic visuals. The tone sits somewhere between a nightmare and an art-film: environments distort, shadows breathe, and scenes linger just a second too long.

Your task begins with a short proof-of-concept teaser (≈60-90 seconds). I will supply the script, rough storyboards, and audio beds; you bring them to life through fluid, hand-crafted digital frames. Clean line work isn’t the goal here—texture, atmosphere, and imaginative transitions take priority.

Character design is wide open. I have outlines for the main figures but want you to experiment and present concepts that feel instantly iconic yet hard to classify. Think of creatures or human forms that look familiar at first glance, then unravel into something far more disturbing.

Core deliverables
• Concept sheets for principal characters and two key backgrounds
• The fully animated teaser in 1080p (PNG sequence + final composited video with sound)
• Source files (PSD/TVPaint/ToonBoom, whichever you animate in)

Acceptance criteria
• Animation must be exclusively digital frame-by-frame; no tweening or cut-out rigs
• Palette limited to 5–7 muted tones per scene, with deliberate accent colors for shock moments
• Smooth playback at 24 fps and passes a basic flicker/artefact check

If this atmosphere excites you, please send a link to your reel highlighting comparable work and briefly describe your preferred tools. I’ll shortlist artists whose style best aligns with the dark, surreal mood we’re aiming for and discuss schedules and further episodes from there.
