2D Sprite Artist Needed

Job ID: 40388212

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I’m building a 2D game in Godot and want to populate it with a cast of stylized, chibi-like historical figures taken from multiple eras. To keep things organized (and to make payment straightforward for both of us) I’ll break the work into clearly defined milestones: each milestone is worth US $100 and covers one full character, or a small group if the total comes to fewer than a few finished sprite sheets.

Art direction
• Theme: Historical figures (Napoléon to Cleopatra to Tesla and beyond).
• Look & feel: Purely stylized chibi—big heads, compact bodies, bold readable silhouettes.
• Periods: I’ll mix and match eras as the project progresses, so flexibility with costume research is appreciated.

Technical specs
The sheets must plug straight into Godot. I’m currently exporting with Spine2D, so please organize layers and bones with Spine-friendly naming and include the JSON/atlas, PNG textures, and GIF or MP4 animation previews. If you prefer a similar rigging tool that Godot accepts, let me know before starting a milestone.

Deliverables for each milestone
1. Editable Spine2D project (or equivalent) with cleanly named bones, meshes, and skins.
2. Sprite sheet(s) for all required animations—idle, walk/run, attack/cast, damage, death (roughly 6–8 key loops; I’ll give exact lists per character).
3. Exported atlas + JSON ready for Godot import.
4. Preview video or GIF so I can sanity-check timing and squash/stretch.

I’ll supply a simple turnaround sketch or reference file at the start of every milestone, and we can iterate on poses before you finalize ink and color. Please include a link to any previous Spine2D or Godot-ready sprite work that demonstrates personality, fluid motion, and a flair for small-scale exaggeration.

Clear milestones, quick feedback, prompt payment—let’s bring these pocket-sized legends to life.
