Smooth Realistic Anime Animation
Budget: $8 – $15 USD
I’m producing an entertainment-focused short that leans heavily on anime aesthetics and intense action sequences, and I need a 2D animator who can make every punch, kick, and camera pan feel believable. Movement needs to stay fluid and grounded in real-world physics while still preserving that stylised anime flair.
You’ll take my rough script and shot ideas and turn them into a fully realised piece—from initial boards through clean keys, in-betweens, colour, and final compositing. Whether you work in Toon Boom Harmony, TVPaint, Clip Studio, or another professional 2D package is up to you, as long as the result hits 24 fps (or higher for emphasis) and looks seamless on screen.
Because the short is pure entertainment, storytelling rhythm matters: action beats should read clearly, characters must stay on-model, and timing has to feel cinematic rather than game-sprite mechanical. If you’ve animated sword fights, martial-arts showdowns, or high-speed chases in an anime style, that’s exactly the energy I’m after—please include those samples.
Deliverables
• Storyboard/animatic for approval
• Cleaned and coloured final animation (1920×1080 or 4K)
• Layered project files so I can archive or add subtitles later
• Stereo or 5.1 mix-ready export with embedded timecode
Acceptance criteria: smooth, realistic motion; consistent line-weight and colour palette; on-model characters throughout; final runtime matching the approved animatic.
Let me know your typical workflow, estimated turnaround, and any questions you have about the action beats. Looking forward to seeing your reel.
