Create Premium 2.5D Promotional Animations for a Sci-Fi Trading Card Game
Project Description
I’m looking for an experienced motion designer who specializes in cinematic 2.5D animation and eye-catching social media advertisements.
I will provide a small number of sample trading cards and basic references. From those samples, you’ll be expected to create original promotional animations and scenes that showcase the game’s style and atmosphere. Creative direction is encouraged, and I’m looking for someone who can bring fresh ideas rather than simply following a storyboard.
The animations should be designed to capture attention within the first few seconds and be optimized for marketing on TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.
I’m looking for multiple unique promotional videos with different concepts and visual styles, such as:
• Cards emerging with cinematic camera movement
• Dynamic parallax using layered artwork
• Energy blasts, particles, sparks, smoke, and lighting effects
• Floating cards with depth and motion
• Futuristic holographic interfaces
• Product or deck reveals
• Fast-paced social media advertisements
• High-impact transitions and visual effects
The artwork supplied should be used as inspiration and incorporated into the animations where appropriate, while the remaining visual presentation, effects, camera work, and overall promotional scenes should be created by you.
Required Deliverables
Each completed promo must be delivered in all three formats:
• 1080 × 1920 (Vertical for TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels)
• 1080 × 1080 (Square for Instagram and Facebook posts)
• 1920 × 1080 (Landscape for YouTube and website use)
Videos should generally range from 10–30 seconds, although I’m open to longer concepts if they are compelling.
What I’m Looking For
• Strong portfolio of cinematic motion graphics or game advertisements
• Experience with 2.5D animation and VFX
• Creative thinker capable of developing promotional concepts independently
• High-quality visual effects and polished presentation
• Ability to produce content suitable for paid advertising and organic social media
