SaaS Explainer Animation Series
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
I need a creative partner to produce a small series of animated explainer videos that will introduce and illustrate the key features of a multi-version SaaS platform. The plan is to create five or six videos in total. Two of them are priority pieces because the first platform version is already live; these two clips will share most of the same storyboard, with only a few tailored scenes and captions to fit their specific audiences.
I’m comfortable mixing 2D and 3D techniques as long as the final look feels coherent, polished, and on-brand. I haven’t settled on a single visual style—cartoon, motion graphics, or something more realistic—so I’m relying on you to guide that decision and propose the best approach for each target audience. I don’t have reference videos, which means I’ll be looking for strong mood boards, style frames, and short test snippets early in the process.
Timing
• First two videos: as soon as realistically possible
• Remaining three to four videos: rolled out over the next three to six months as each product version and its landing page are ready
Scope you’ll cover
1. Concept development and script refinement around each product’s benefits
2. Storyboard and style frames (mix of 2D/3D where it makes sense)
3. Voice-over direction or casting guidance if you can provide it
4. Animation, sound design, and delivery of production-ready files in common web formats
Acceptance criteria for each video
• Messaging aligns with the supplied feature list for the relevant platform version
• Visual style is consistent with approved style frames
• Final file plays smoothly on standard browsers and mobile devices
• One round of minor revisions after first full draft
If this phased approach and creative freedom sound like something you’d enjoy, let’s discuss timelines and start shaping the first two videos right away.
It is imperative that a portfolio of previous work be available, for any freelancer to be considered. Also freelancer must be willing to provide client references, to be contacted to gauge professionalism on working on past projects with clients.
