Rick & Morty Style Comic Series
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’m developing an action-driven comic that leans visually toward the clean, punchy look of Rick and Morty. Most pages will keep that flat-colored, expressive style, but the moment a major fight erupts I want the artwork to snap into the sharper, high-energy detail you see in Jujutsu Kaisen or One Punch Man—dynamic anatomy, kinetic motion lines, textured shading, the works.
The first arc is already outlined; what I need is an artist who can:
• lay out 22–24 pages per issue from my script
• ink and color in the Rick and Morty aesthetic for everyday scenes
• shift seamlessly into the detailed anime style during fight sequences (these will average 4–6 pages per issue)
• deliver print-ready CMYK PDFs plus layered working files (PSD, Clip Studio or Procreate are all fine)
Consistency between the two looks is crucial—the characters must remain recognizable even when the rendering level spikes. Clean line art, bold color choices, and exaggerated action poses will keep the tone fast and exciting. If you’ve ever blended Western cartoon simplicity with manga intensity, this project should feel right at home.
Send a short portfolio link that shows both your cartoony work and any highly rendered action pieces. I’ll share the pilot script and character sheets with the shortlisted artist so we can jump straight into thumbnails and a page-by-page schedule.
