Realistic WhatsApp Group Chat Animation

Job ID: 39745790

Budget: $30 – $250 AUD

Animation Brief: Mum Group Chat Mayhem
WhatsApp Chat Animation

Project Overview:

We want to create a short, realistic animation of a WhatsApp group chat between a group of mums trying (and failing) to confirm the details of a park meetup they *think* they planned last month.

The tone is warm, witty, and *way too real*. The animation should capture how messy it can be trying to organise anything through WhatsApp—where messages get lost, memories are foggy, and confirmation takes days.

This content will be used on Instagram Reels and TikTok as part of a lo-fi, high-relatability campaign for mums. It's not polished—it should feel like something you’d screenshot and send to your own group chat.

Animation Style & Format:
- Format: Vertical video (1080x1920), suitable for Instagram Reels/TikTok
- Style: Simulated iPhone screen showing a WhatsApp group chat
- Messages: Appear one by one, with typing bubbles and time stamps to show the delay and back-and-forth over 3 days
Group Name at the Top: Mothers Group
Typing indicators, voice note icons, timestamps, and “seen” ticks should be used to enhance realism
Subtle notification sounds, chat scrolls, or UI animation to bring it to life (but nothing overly flashy—this should feel familiar)

Final frame should leave space for us to insert our own branding or call-to-action (just end cleanly with the final message + a beat of silence)

30–45 seconds max

Deliverables:

* 1 x vertical animation (MP4 or MOV)
* Editable project file (optional but preferred)
* Option for subtitles/captions if needed

Em:
Sooo… are we still doing that catch-up this weekend?

Thursday, 9:10 AM
Rach:
Yes! I think? Was it this Sunday or next?

Thursday, 11:26 AM
Lana:
I thought we said first weekend of the month? But now I’m second guessing everything

Friday, 6:02 AM
Jules:
The one with the coffee shop, right?

Friday, 8:39 AM
Em:
That was the plan… unless we changed it? Anyone remember if we actually locked it in?

Friday, 12:51 PM
Rach:
I thought it was 10am? Or did someone say 9:30 at some point?

Friday, 3:08 PM
Lana (voice note):
I’ve scrolled back through 60 messages and all I’ve learnt is that Claire’s baby started solids.

Friday, 6:30 PM
Jules:
Okay but which park are we talking about now? The one near the bakery?

Saturday, 7:00 AM
Em:
Can we just agree on something before the weekend disappears?

Saturday, 9:14 AM
Rach:
Wouldn’t it be SO helpful if there was one app where meet-up plans and mum chats actually stayed in one place? Like, just built for us?

Saturday, 12:47 PM
Lana:
Yes. One place. No digging through old messages, no guessing games.

Sunday, 7:38 AM
Em:
So… who’s actually going today?

Sunday, 8:04 AM
Jules:
I’ll head over soon - just cleaning up after the breakfast mess!

Honestly, this group needs a project manager
