Realistic Graphic Novel Sample Pages
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’m preparing a publisher pitch for my graphic novel “Legends of Nayrali” an ancient desert fantasy epic. I need a short run of polished, realistic-style pages to showcase the project’s look and feel. The brief is for an action sequence which I have written out and posted below, so you’ll have room to demonstrate dynamic panel composition, solid anatomy, and expressive acting.
I already have rough character sheets for the main cast—poses, outfits, and color palettes—yet several secondary characters and incidental background figures still need to be visualised. You’re free to add your own creative touch while staying consistent with the established designs. I’ll supply all existing reference art, a page-by-page script breakdown, and notes on mood, lighting, and pacing.
If these samples hit the mark, I plan to roll straight into full production on the entire book, so I’m looking for someone comfortable taking the same realistic approach across 100+ pages.
Deliverables for this first stage
• 5-10 finished pages, full color, dialogue and print-ready (300 dpi) and web-optimised versions
• Layered files in PSD or Clip Studio format, plus flattened high-res TIFF/PNG
• Any new character turnarounds or prop sketches you create along the way
I’ll give timely feedback on thumbnails, rough pencils, inks, and colors so we keep revisions light. Let me know your estimated timeline for the sample pages and, if available, links to previous realistic comic or graphic novel work.
Below I have attached:
1. The scene I want to have illustrated
2. Samples of the animation style that I am looking for
