Political Satire Cartoonist

Job ID: 39762722

Budget: $50 – $0 USD

I’m developing a satirical, character-driven comic series that blends sharp political commentary and Canadian/Americana themes within a stylized alternate universe — something like Star Wars meets Dr. Strangelove, with a splash of Rick & Morty and The Onion. Think hard satire, absurd allegory, and irreverent humor, with recurring characters and a serialized story arc.

I’m looking for someone who is:

- Comfortable working in politically charged, anti-MAGA satire

- Skilled in visually dynamic, character-driven comic storytelling

- Open to allegory, absurdism, and philosophical subtext (with doses of “stoner logic”)

- Able to collaborate within an existing tone/style — or help push it to weirder, sharper places

Over the past few months, I’ve built a fully realized fictional universe: dozens of character mockups, satirical dossiers, backstories, and a logic that riffs off real-world politics, tech culture, populism, and dystopian power grabs. The tone is sharp but darkly playful.

This isn’t a one-off project. There’s real potential for this to evolve into a consistent weekly or biweekly release, ideally tracking real-world events with a slight narrative lag. There's also long-term potential for merchandising, collectibles, or companion materials.

It’s early-stage in some ways, but I’m not just looking for a hired hand — I’m looking for a creative partner. Someone who gets it. Someone who can take a weird idea and run with it… or pitch back something even weirder and better. I’m happy to share all the existing visuals and materials so you can get a sense of the tone and scope of the world we’re building.

If this piques your interest — or if you know someone who might be a good fit — I’d love to connect.

Thanks for your time,
