MMORPG Hand-Drawn Skill Animations and VFX

Job ID: 40153674

Budget: $1,000 – $1,001 USD

I’m developing a 2D MMORPG in Godot and I’m looking to commission a cohesive library of hand-drawn, modular skill animations and VFX to support our combat system.

The game uses a modular effects pipeline: instead of one giant animation per skill, abilities are assembled from multiple small parts—projectiles, charge-ups, impacts, bursts, auras, shields, expansions, and dissipations—that layer together inside the engine. Across the current design (six class sheets), this comes out to roughly 300–400 individual sprite animations supporting around 150 total skills. Six example assets and a detailed Excel breakdown will be provided.

Visually, the game leans toward lively, expressive fantasy: smooth frame-by-frame motion, strong silhouettes, and satisfying impact effects. Attacks should feel explosive and punchy, defensive skills solid and readable, and support abilities elegant and magical.

Each animation will be delivered as a cleanly organized sprite sheet or PNG sequence on a small, standardized canvas (typically in the 24×24 to 64×64 px range), with short bursts of motion (often 3–8 frames, depending on the effect). Many skills are built from multiple parts, and layer separation is important so colors, blending, and timing can be adjusted directly inside Godot.

Because of the scale of the library, consistency is critical. Line weight, palette, proportions, and animation timing must remain uniform across the entire set. I’ll supply a concise style guide, master palette, and references. We’ll begin with a small test batch to lock the look, then move into structured production waves.

Deliverables

• Approximately 300–400 hand-drawn modular animations
• Effect types including projectiles, impacts, glows, trails, auras, shields, expansions, and dissipations
• Sprite sheets or sequential PNGs with transparent backgrounds
• Small, standardized canvas sizes per the spreadsheet
• Clear naming conventions for direct import into Godot

Requirements

Please send me a portfolio of 2d animations/VFX related to game.
