Hiring Freelance 2D and 3D Animators for Indie Pilot
Budget: $10 – $100,000 USD
I have a complete script for a short independent pilot that I will be releasing on my YouTube Channel, Victory Star Production and now need a skilled 2D traditional animator to bring it to life. The project spans three main scene types—character-focused moments, dynamic action beats, and atmospheric background shots—so versatility is important, especially with an Anime-esque Indie Pilot like the one I'm making.
You’ll begin with the script and my beat notes; we can collaborate on the storyboard, then move into keys, in-betweens, and cleaned line tests. Whether you draw on paper and scan or work digitally in Toon Boom Harmony or a similar hand-drawn pipeline is up to you, as long as it feels authentically traditional with some CG Models in it because much like Family Guy, this pilot blends Traditional 2D Animation with some CG elements like Vehicles, Props, Landscapes and other stuff that's a chore to do in 2D in order to sometimes cut corners.
I will provide model sheets, palette guides, and reference clips. Final delivery should be either high-resolution PNG sequences or a lossless QuickTime file, ready for compositing.
If your reel showcases expressive character acting, crisp action timing, and strong environment integration, I’d love to see it. Let’s discuss a realistic timeline and milestones for roughs, cleanup, and final approval so we can get this pilot moving soon.
