Hand-Drawn 3-Minute Music Video
Budget: €250 – €750 EUR
My track clocks in at just short of three minutes, and I want every second to feel like an illustrated diary come to life. Hand-drawn animation is the style I connect with most—the texture, the little imperfections, the warmth—but I’m open to subtle 2D compositing tricks if it helps the flow.
Mood & theme
The song itself is dramatic and heartfelt, so the visuals should echo that emotional arc: think swelling color palettes, intimate close-ups, and moments that linger long enough for the lyrics to land.
Concept
I have a rough storyline in mind: a lone character, a mother, is crying over an empty bed as she misses her son that is fighting a war. She's praying to God that he comes back.
Then the intensity shifts and suddenly we are seeing images of war and soldiers dying. The camera zooms out and we see that fat business man are the puppeteers, zooming out even more it was all inside a tv, that gets turned off, by a person that picks a book instead and starts to think. The images on that person's thoughts are an alternate reality of the soldiers, war, even the puppeteers, living happy in harmony. But it was all a dream and the reality is tough, and the mother is still crying on her son's bed.
It can be all in B&W for extra dramatic effect, or not...
