Full-Color Adult Cartoon Illustrations
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
My independent, adult-themed comic series is moving into full production, and the next milestone is the artwork. Every page must marry a playful cartoonish style with highly detailed line-work and rich, full-color rendering so the erotic tone feels fun rather than explicit for its own sake.
Project scope
• Character sheets: front, side, and expression poses for the four main characters so we can lock proportions and personality before page work begins.
• Sequential pages: an initial batch of 10 story pages, delivered as layered PSD (or Clip Studio) files at 400 dpi CMYK. Each page should already include speech-bubble placeholders.
• Cover art: a pin-up style cover that can double as promotional art.
Visual direction
Cartoonish proportions are preferred over realism—think clean lines, lively facial expressions, and exaggerated body language—yet with enough fine detail (fabric texture, background props, lighting) to keep the scenes immersive. A bright, full-color palette is mandatory; flat color alone will not be enough—please plan for highlights, shadows, and subtle gradients.
Workflow & checkpoints
1. Thumbnail layouts for approval
2. Tight pencils / digital roughs
3. Color flats
4. Final renders with effects
I supply the script and panel breakdowns; you return high-resolution, print-ready files plus a web-optimized version (72 dpi RGB) once each page is signed off. All artwork must be original and fully licensed to me for print, digital, and merchandising.
Acceptance criteria
• Consistent character proportions across pages
• Clean, editable layers named logically
• Final files meet 400 dpi CMYK specs and pass a test print check without color shift
• Delivery dates hit the agreed roadmap
Because the content is 18+, only artists comfortable with mature themes should engage. If your portfolio shows bold, detailed, full-color cartoon work, especially in sequential art, I’d love to see it along with your typical turnaround time per page.
