Franco-Belgian Comic Music Videos
Budget: £750 – £1,500 GBP
I’m gearing up to release a new pop-prog album and want 3 songs to come alive in short, fully animated (and humorous) videos (around three to four minutes). The visual universe has to echo classic Franco-Belgian comics—from clear-line elegance to the wilder, Druillet-style flourishes.
You’ll receive each track and a set of already-defined characters; keeping their look consistent across videos is key. We can discuss the storyboard, and then I'll rely on your creatuvuty to develop any supplementary props or backgrounds, animate the sequences, and sync everything tightly to the music. While the core cast and narrative beats are established, I’m looking for genuine creative input: staging ideas, visual gags, colour palettes, camera moves—whatever serves the song. Think of it as joining the band’s extended line-up, not just taking a commission.
Deliverables for each song:
• A complete storyboard we agree on before animation begins
• Character sheets updated as needed to preserve continuity
• The final 2D animation in 1080p (4K welcome if your pipeline allows) synced perfectly to the master audio
Preferred tools are up to you—Toon Boom, TVPaint, Adobe Animate, or any pipeline that nails that sharp ink-and-colour comic feel. What matters most is a professional finish, clear communication, and a passion for the Franco-Belgian aesthetic. If that sounds like you, let’s start sketching.
