Filipino 2D Horror Animator

“The World of Fear” is my YouTube channel where I narrate chilling stories in a slow-burn style. I now want each tale to live as a full 8–10-minute 2D animation episode.
Style & mood
I’m after a hybrid look—something that sits between cartoon and realism, definitely not classic anime, but still stylised enough to feel surreal. The only non-negotiable is atmosphere: brooding palettes, unsettling silhouettes, and constantly dark, eerie backgrounds that let the dread build organically. I stay away from gore and cheap jumpscares; tension should come from lighting, framing, and pacing.
Scope of work
• Take my finalised audio narration (voice-over, ambient SFX, music) and craft a matching storyboard.
• Design backgrounds, characters, and subtle visual scares.
• Animate the full episode—rough pass to final render—using your preferred 2D toolset (Toon Boom, Adobe Animate, After Effects, or similar).
• Deliver a ready-to-upload 1920×1080 MP4 along with the project source files.
Workflow
I provide the script and voice track first. You return a storyboard for approval, move to an animatic, then complete the clean animation. I review at each stage; quick revisions are expected so we stay on schedule.
Acceptance criteria
1. Runtime falls between 8:00 and 10:00 minutes.
2. Colour grade and background design maintain a cohesive, ominous tone throughout.
3. Final video syncs perfectly with my narration track—no dialogue drift.
4. Source files are organised and include all assets used.
Because most stories draw from Philippine folklore, collaborating with a fellow Filipino artist will keep cultural details authentic and communication smooth across time zones. Once the first episode meets the mark, this can turn into a recurring series. If this eerie canvas sounds like a creative fit, let’s start drafting the next nightmare.
